Frequently Asked Questions
This page is the answer most questions about our Macintosh Screen Savers,
in particular installation instructions.
Please note that we have Two Mac screen saver versions.
Each version has it's own install procedure and run differently.
Mac Screen Saver Installation Instructions - for SG versions - hqx
(Quick FAQ: This screen saver does not start in the Control Panels folder.
Just click the program icon, and choose your options by going to File and
Preferences on the menu bar. )
1. Save the hqx file to your hard drive.
2. Before installing remove any screen savers that are in your
"Controls Panel" and restart your computer.
3. Click on the hqx file to start installation process.
4. Once installed open on the folder that was created for this screen saver.
5. Click on the screen saver file inside this folder to activate.
6. Go to File, preferences to select the settings you desire.
7. To preview what is inside the preferences Click Here
Note: You may have multiple screen savers of this version in your system at one time.
Choose the prefrence settings for the desired screen saver you wish to run.

Please note the change for Mac screen savers with the files that
end with u.sit There is an error in the read me file, NOT the program.
Place the screen saver file in the "Controls Panel" which is inside
the Systems folder. We apologize for the text error.
Mac Screen Saver Installation Instructions - UPDATE - u.sit
1. Save the Stuffit archive file to your hard drive.
- To uncompress, double-click on the file. If Stuffit Expander does not launch automatically, you may need to install this software:

2. Open your Systems Folder, remove or place in another folder any existing screen saver. Only one screen saver can be placed in the Controls Panel
3. Drop the new screen saver in the Controls Panel , close all open folders.
4. Restart your computer, and your screensaver should be in place!
5. Screen savers require System 7 or later, a 68020 or better Macintosh, and at least 16MB or more depending on particular screen saver.
6. Click on the icon to set screen saver activation time and hot corner settings.
